Can you genuinely express love when you feel it? Or are you reserved and shy about it?
Anger? How do you express that to those who you feel riled towards? Or do you bottle it up and smash it down?
Do you feel pressure when walking in front of a ton of people? Or do you walk like you were alone?
Feeling Free
Do you experience a different self, another person when you are around others? Is there tightness when you come into contact with certain people?
When you are all alone, how free do you feel? How do you act? What are your true thoughts and desires?
When I walk down a mountain trail alone, my entire being feels free. My thoughts and feelings are purely mine. No apparent outward influence is swaying my thoughts, no concerns of what others think sways my mind.
In those moments I feel a purity that I wish to feel in every moment of life. A freedom like I’m flying on the stars. I feel my spirits true feelings, I can commune with my inner self. It seems that my soul can connect with the higher energies and vibrations that seem to carry all intelligence and knowledge.
I feel happiness, but more than that, fulfillment. A combination of joy, freedom, love, and a connection to the spiritual.
Bringing Freedom Into Everyday
How can we maintain this connection, this happiness and peace when we communicate and interact with family, friends and even strangers?
It seems that I turn into someone else most of the time. All the free expressions are gone. The love that flowed within me is fleeting. My actions are covered with another personality. I am that person that I am supposed to be. This is hell, depression, and loneliness.
So what does it take to shed this gloomy cover? It takes time and a ton of practice.
Try walking among others and maintaining that freedom. Notice when that freedom and connection you felt left you, what was it that happened? Did a mask that you put on when you were young and adjusted to a degree of acceptance from society over the years snap back over you?
Speaking Free
If you can feel free alone, you can start to notice the difference. Spend more time feeling connected to yourself.
Bring that feeling with yourself around others. Practice it until you can begin to speak this way. You don’t need to put on your mask.
This is something that is very difficult for me. But when I do it I feel so much better. And for some reason people really like me so much better.
I notice other people that are free. They can be relaxed and comfortable, their faces are light and they carry no inward pressure that always keeps their light from shining and their creativity from breaking through. Misery is the only description for the opposite because you know inwardly there is so much more and it is trapped within you.
Find Total Freedom
When you are connected to your inner soul, and that connection is maintained while you walk alone, with friends and enemies and you can feel the universe or God flowing to you then you are free from the masked pain and lying personality that makes you wonder if life is really worth living.
When your actions, thoughts, and decisions are the same when you are with others as when you are alone, then you are a free person. That doesn’t mean you don’t need private time, it simply means that you are not putting on the mask of acceptance that you have carefully crafted over the years of trying to be accepted by society.
